- <p> A sequel to Alice's Restaurant? Singer Arlo Guthrie is
- considering one following his latest battle with the town of
- Great Barrington, Mass. A run-in with local officials 26
- Thanksgivings ago over a vanload of illegal garbage inspired
- Guthrie's original antiauthoritarian anthem. Now Guthrie has
- acquired the church cited in the daring ditty to house his
- record company--as well as a "spiritual center" and breakfasts
- for abused children. The prospect of such programs attracting
- unwanted outsiders has created a chorus of complaining neighbors--who will be confronting Guthrie when he completes a current
- concert tour.
